I started playing basketball 1970 and has since then been involved in the greatest game ever invented. As a player I played two seasons in the second division in Sweden and the rest of my playing career I played at lower levels. My playing career ended with an injury after a second comeback. My fascination for american basketball began when american players started coming to play in Sweden. I still remember how my team, KFUM Ostersund, managed to land a player from Duke University 1975, Chris Redding who was six-foot-nine and could shoot the ball from deep.
My first recruit to the team I am still affiliated as a scout, the Jamtland Team, was David ”Poncho” Wright, sixth man on the Louisville NCAA champions 1986. Since then I have been more or less involved in scouting and recruiting for the Jamtland Team.
I have also been an assistant coach for the Jamtland Team in Sweden´s top divison from 1992 to 2014.
Now I am back in coaching at the level where the best coaches should be, boys born 2012-2013.
